The development consisted primarily of the refurbishment of the main existing hotel.
In order for the hotel to remain as a functioning business with minimal disruption, the works were phased over 18 months to ensure that the guest’s experience was not spoilt by the building works.
The first phase included the construction of a new extension to included exclusive private dining areas, a new cocktail bar, staff accommodation, 4 new bedrooms and a new kitchen with ‘the chef’s table’, which enables guests to dine in the heart of the action and watch through a sliding glass door as their meal is freshly prepared in front of them.
The existing restaurant was at the forefront of the second phase, which involved extending the restaurant internally and externally to form a new al fresco dining terrace.
Differing from the previous two phases, the third phase saw the construction of a standalone Garden Lodge through a design & build contract. The lodge welcomed 8 new exclusive suites, including one master suite all with views of the impressive Ribble Valley countryside.
